AGE OF ADMITTANCE

The Honey Pot Day Nursery caters for children from the age of three months. It is not necessary for the two year olds to be toilet trained prior to admittance. Staff are willing to help toilet train children when requested to do so by the parents.

SAFETY

The Nursery has a written Health & Safety Policy with which all staff are familiar. If a minor accident should occur at the Nursery, this is recorded and counter-signed by the parent or carer. At all times at least one member of staff holds a current first aid certificate and all staff are familiar with first aid procedure.

When arriving, parents should personally hand their child over to a member of staff before leaving the building.

CAR PARK

There is a large car park at the front of the building with allocated parking spaces and a pull-in bay. Could all parents please drive carefully both when arriving and departing. Please do not let your child run or play in the car park area. Please note that parking on the main road is prohibited.

MEALS

Meals that are provided within the session times are served as follows:

Breakfast: 8.00 am to 8.30 am

Lunch: 12.00 to 12.30 pm

Afternoon Tea: 3.00 pm to 3.45 pm

If you need to collect your child early, could you please try to avoid collecting between the above times, so that the children are not disturbed during mealtimes.

ITEMS TO BRING TO THE NURSERY

Children can bring a pair of indoor shoes or slippers to change into upon their arrival at the Nursery. They will also require outdoor clothing and boots in wet weather. A sun hat or cap and suncream will be required in summer. All items of removable clothing need to be labelled clearly. Parents should provide nappies if their child requires them. Please try to discourage children bringing their own toys to the Nursery. A single item may be brought in eg. comfort toy/blanket; soothers etc. if necessary.

ENQUIRIES OR QUERIES

Please be assured that if you should have any queries whatsoever, the staff are there to help you and please feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with any member of staff. Please also note that we welcome parents/carers views and comments on any matters concerning the Nursery.
