Terms and Conditions

Once you have decided to place your child into The Honey Pot Day Nursery we require you to complete the application form and forward this along with your registration fee so that your child can be entered onto the waiting list for either the next available place of your choice or a flexible place until your requirements can be met.

Fees become payable as soon as parent(s)/carer(s) and the Nursery enter into an agreement with regard to a starting date. Once a starting date is agreed, a place is allocated to your child. Once committed the place cannot be allocated to another child.

Our fees are set to reflect the cost of the service provided and are due on or before the first day of the month and are payable in advance. We appreciate prompt payment of which time is the essence. If payment of fees are delayed then interest will become payable immediately and fees will continue to accrue interest on a weekly basis until paid in full. If fees are not paid in full by the following months invoice date, we reserve the right to suspend your child’s place at  the Nursery.  Discount is available for the eldest child when two children from the same family are attending the Nursery at the same time, on a full time basis. For larger families, further arrangements can be made.  In the event of a cheque being re-presented or returned by your bank, additional fees to cover any charges will be imposed.

It is the responsibility of the parents/carers to familiarise themselves with the contents of our Policies and Procedures which are available for inspection at all times within our Reception area.

The Nursery should be informed before 9.00a.m. if your child will not be attending due to sickness.

Please do not send your child to Nursery if he/she is unwell. Also good practice dictates that if your child is unwell you should keep them at home until your doctor confirms that any risks of infection have disappeared. These include sickness and/or diarrhoea, a fever with a temperature of 101F/38C or above, chickenpox, measles, mumps, meningitis, hepatitis, a virus, any unexplained rash.

The Nursery reserve the right to request that children be collected if it is felt that they are not well enough to attend.

The Nursery cannot administer medicines unless requested by parents on the appropriate form. All medicines should be labelled with your child’s name and frequency of dosage. Only prescription medication (written instructions from a doctor or dentist) and prescribed medication (as recommended by a doctor, dentist or appropriately qualified nurse or pharmacist) can be administered.

Please advise us of any infectious ailment. If exposure to a communicable disease is suspected, all parents will be informed via the notice board.

The Nursery is open from 8.00a.m. until 6.00p.m. Monday to Friday (inclusive) with the exception of Bank Holidays, Christmas, New Year and the period between Christmas and New Year.

We require four weeks written notice of your child leaving the Nursery.   Fees are payable up to the end of the notice period and no refund of fees can be given.   In the event of missed days or sessions fees will not be refunded. Sessions and days are not interchangeable unless agreed by the Manager.

We will not allow any child to leave Nursery with an adult unless we are completely satisfied with their identity. If any person other than those who normally collect are coming to the Nursery, we must be informed and we will require evidence of their identity upon arrival.

Our staff cannot leave children on the premises out of hours therefore it is essential children are collected by 6.00p.m. and any children collected after 6p.m. will incur an additional fee of £10.00 and £10.00 for each fifteen minutes thereafter.

The welfare of your child whilst in our care is of paramount importance. As part of our commitment to your child’s welfare, we believe that Child Protection Procedures should be undertaken if the need arises. We will work in partnership with parents at every stage. On registering your child with the Nursery you are consenting for this procedure to be implemented.

If disciplinary measures need to be taken, then we operate a “time out” system whereby the child is excluded from their group activity for a short period of time.

As mentioned above, the Nursery holds policies on all procedures, however, should you feel it necessary to contact Ofsted, their address is:
